1. Our Commitment
The Regional Maritime Security Architecture is committed to ensuring that our digital platforms are accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and continuously work to improve the accessibility and usability of our platforms.
2. Accessibility Features
Our platforms include various accessibility features: semantic HTML structure for screen readers, keyboard navigation support, sufficient color contrast ratios, alternative text for images, resizable text without loss of functionality, consistent navigation across pages, and skip navigation links for keyboard users.
3. Browser Compatibility
Our platforms are designed to be compatible with modern web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We also support assistive technologies such as screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), screen magnifiers, voice recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation.
4. Known Limitations
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility, some content may have limitations due to the nature of maritime operational information. PDF documents from external sources may not be fully accessible. We are actively working to address these limitations and provide alternative formats upon request.
5. Feedback and Assistance
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our platforms. If you encounter accessibility barriers or need assistance accessing any content, please contact us. We will work with you to provide the information or service you need through an alternative method.
6. Continuous Improvement
We are committed to ongoing accessibility improvements. Our teams regularly review and test our platforms for accessibility compliance. We provide accessibility training to our content creators and developers and conduct periodic accessibility audits with third-party specialists.
